GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) apply to the booking made by the Customer. The booking can be made directly at the hotel, by mail, by email, by phone, or online via the Moulin de la Wantzenau Hotel & Spa website or its partners. These GTCS are available to Customers on our website. The Customer’s agreement to the general terms and conditions of sale and the sales conditions of the reserved rate is given at the time of booking; no booking is possible without this agreement. Any booking therefore implies the Customer’s full and unconditional acceptance of these conditions.

Cancellation Deadline
Cancellations can be made without penalty up to 48 hours before the arrival day, beyond which 100% of the entire stay will be charged.

Cancellation policies may vary depending on the type of booking, the date of the stay, the number of rooms booked, and the selected rates. Please refer to your booking details for specific cancellation conditions.

No Show (When the guest neither cancels the reservation nor shows up at the hotel): in case of no-show for any reason, the full price of the stay will be charged.

Check-in/out
Check-in – Arrival time: 3:00 PM.
Check-out – Departure time: 12:00 PM

Early arrival from 12:00 PM or late departure until 2:00 PM will be charged at 50 € VAT included per room.
Scheduled early arrival before 12:00 PM or late departure after 2:00 PM will be charged 100% of the daily room rate.

Early Departure Policy
The guest who leaves the hotel before the scheduled departure date without respecting the cancellation deadline indicated below will be subject to an early departure fee equivalent to one night.

Pre-authorization
Guaranteed reservations require a credit card hold. Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa reserves the right to verify the validity of the credit card before the guest’s arrival by requesting a pre-authorization from the relevant card network. With the pre-authorization, Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa temporarily ensures the availability of the total stay amount, or part of it, to validate the credit card. No amount is collected. The pre-authorization automatically expires 20 days after the request date and the amount is released. In case of a negative pre-authorization result, the guest will be notified and the reservation will be cancelled. In this case, the establishment will have no obligation towards the guest. If the guest departs without having made a payment, the pre-authorization will then be charged to cover the cost of the guest’s stay.

Payment of the Reservation
Your reservation payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer, cash, or holiday vouchers.

Bank checks are not accepted.

Regardless of the payment method, it will be made upon your arrival during check-in, before your stay at our establishment.

The guest is required to inform reception at departure of any beverages consumed from the minibar. If forgotten, Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa will notify the guest, charge the consumed items, and for credit card payments, debit the card provided at booking.

Rates
The rates displayed on our website are subject to change without notice and may vary depending on the season, availability, and other factors.

Pets
Pets are allowed for an additional charge of 20€ per night.

Tourist Tax
The tourist tax is not included in the rates. It must be paid to the establishment upon key handover.

Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 18 years or older.

Identity Check Policy
In accordance with current regulations, guests may be required upon arrival at Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa to fill out a police form. To do so, guests will be asked to present an identity document to verify whether the form needs to be completed.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire establishment.

Policy on Misconduct and Damages by the Guest
The guest agrees to use the room responsibly. Any behavior contrary to good morals and public order, any disrespect towards the staff or other guests of Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa will result in the guest being asked to leave the establishment without any compensation or refund if any payment has already been made. If no payment has been made yet, the guest must pay for the nights used before leaving.

The guest agrees not to bring extra persons into the room beyond the number declared at booking. Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa must be informed of any additional persons present in the room, in accordance with security rules applicable to the establishment. Otherwise, Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa reserves the right to refuse the rental if the room cannot accommodate the actual number of occupants or, if possible, to charge an extra fee if the room capacity allows.

The guest agrees to respect the rules of use of the relaxation area; minors’ use is entirely the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians.

Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel and Spa reserves the right to charge an additional fee up to 200 € if deep cleaning of the room is required due to improper use by the guest contrary to good morals. Actual charges will be applied for any theft or damage to equipment, goods, or furniture present in the room or establishment. If the guest’s wrongful behavior prevents the hotel from properly re-renting the room, the guest will have to pay compensation equivalent to the room sale price for the entire period the room remains unavailable.

Liability
The photos shown on Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa’s website or those of partners are for indicative purposes only. Although every effort is made to ensure that photographs, graphic representations, and texts accurately reflect the offered accommodation services, variations may occur due to furniture changes or renovations. The guest cannot make any claims on this basis.

Amendments
These General Terms and Conditions may be modified at any time. In such case, Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa will communicate the changes to the guest before the services begin. From then on, the new version will apply to the relationship between the parties.

Force Majeure
Force majeure refers to any external event to the parties that is unpredictable, insurmountable, and outside their control, preventing either the guest or Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa from fulfilling all or part of their contractual obligations. Events usually recognized as force majeure or fortuitous cases by French courts and tribunals apply. Neither party can be held liable to the other for non-performance due to such events, and each party bears its own costs resulting therefrom.

Partial Invalidity
The invalidity of one or more provisions of these Terms and Conditions does not entail the invalidity of the entire agreement. All other stipulations remain applicable and fully effective.

Complaints and Disputes
As part of our quality commitment, complaints occurring during the contract must be reported as soon as possible to the establishment’s manager at the stay location and before departure so that a solution can be sought promptly.

Only complaints declared but unresolved on site may be the subject of a written complaint, accompanied by all original supporting documents, sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt within 30 days following the end of the stay.

Any complaint made late or not complying with the above-mentioned formal conditions will automatically and irrevocably lose the right to claim.

Cold Calling
Article L 223-2 of the Consumer Code states: “When a professional collects telephone data from a consumer, they must inform them of their right to register on the telephone solicitation opposition list.”

Applicable Law
The applicable law is French law.

Chosen Address for Service
All written communications between the parties (letters, notifications, emails…) must be sent to Le Moulin de la Wantzenau Hôtel & Spa at its postal or electronic address, and for the guest to the postal or electronic address indicated in the booking.
